All the Details
What’s the retreat about?
This experience is so much more than just doing fun things together and having a break from busy life. Each experience is carefully designed to help you connect with yourself, your partner, and your whole family in ways you’ve never done before.
Each day offers every member of the family opportunities to grow personally, to come back together to strengthen cohesion as a family unit, and to create memories that will ripple out for years to come.
There will be 4 days of activities designed to uncover the various aspects of connection. You’ll have time to connect with yourself and make new friends who are at a similar stage in life as you. There will be lots of opportunity for communication, empathy, compassion, authenticity and connection. Every day there will be a women’s circle, men’s circle, and children’s circle. We will do campfires, tell stories, and make new memories.
Rhythm of the Day
Each day starts with an opening circle to all come to what we call “one mind,” where we are all present, inspired, and ready for the day’s adventure. Then we move into a “family” connection experience as a whole group that involves a bit of play, learning, and, of course, building relationship to nature.
The afternoon is “me time.” Everyone participates in a dedicated circle. There’s a women’s circle, a men’s circle, and a children’s circle.
Dinner time brings everyone together again to share stories and adventures from the day. We learn from each other, around the fire, while enjoying a cup of tea.

The location of the retreat:
Forest Villa is located in Cisnadioara, a traditional village in the heart of Transylvania, near Sibiu and right next to the forest, hence the name. It is a home away from the hustle and bustle of the city, a place where you are welcomed by the sound of birds, the green of the forest and healthy food made with locally sourced ingredients.
Important to know
- We are limiting the number of families so that we can hold the necessary space and we can all enjoy a wonderful experience
- In the afternoon, children will have their own activities, without their parents, so make sure that the little ones are comfortable without you for a few hours
- Accommodation is at Forest Villa, in double and triple rooms. The rooms are very spacious, but each one is different, and room assignment is first come first served.
- Forest Villa has an outdoor pool, which is accessible to everyone. Parents must supervise their own children at all times, and especially around the pool or while in the pool. During children’s club, your child will be in our care.
- Check in: Sunday, August 27th at 4pm.
- Check out: Friday, August 30 at 11am.
Meet Our Team

Simona Lederman will be facilitating some of the women’s circles and she will also be your guide before getting to the retreat and while you are here. Simona is a somatic therapist, energy medicine practitioner, and mindful outdoor guide, who works with trauma survivors and people with chronic illness.
“In this retreat, we are bringing together all of my favorite things: time to pause, people we love, nature and indigenous practices, and fun. I can’t wait!”

David Lederman will be facilitating some of the men’s circles. He is an Inner Flow & Fulfillment Executive Coach, energy medicine practitioner, and speaker about bridging neuroscience and ancient wisdom. He loves storytelling and working with the spirit of fire. He’s passionate about taking people into nature, seeing them reconnect to the spirit of the land and in turn themselves.
Why I love facilitating group events: “There’s a moment where you see it in their eyes, that moment where they step out of all the should’s and have to’s and return to their heart and sense of wonder. It’s magical for them and it’s magical for me to be a part of that.”

Roxana Rohan will be facilitating some of the women’s circles. She is a psychologist, a mentor, and founder of Asociatia AvataRo, who works with people and for people. She has a lot of experience decoding the secret to happiness for every person she connects with. For her, supporting people is an art, at the intersection of illusion and mission.

Bogdan Neguleasa will be facilitating some of the men’s circles. He is a family doctor, homeopathic specialist, and energy medicine practitioner. He is passionate about helping people thrive holistically. He loves adventuring out into nature, sharing around camp fires, and being young at heart.
“There is a way that nature speaks, that land speaks. Most of the time we are simply not patient enough, quiet enough, to pay attention to the story.” -Linda Hogan
